D49 Metro Air Park Storm Drain Pump Station Phase 2 Project

Background

The D49 Metro Air Park Storm Drain Pump Station serves the 1,900-acre Metro Air Park development in the Natomas area. The station is located in the southeast portion of the development area approximately 1,950 feet east of Metro Air Parkway and 900 feet north of Interstate 5.

The station was designed to be built in two phases with the second phase occurring when Metro Air Park development reaches 30% buildout.  The first phase of the station was built in 2006 and development has reached the threshold triggering the second phase improvements.

The project is funded by Metro Air Park Community Fund Bonds.

Project Description

The project consists of installing two storm drain pumps, two automated trash racks, a stormwater trash collection basin, and other miscellaneous site improvements.  All work will occur within the existing station site. Upon project completion, the station will be fully built out.
